Malheur Valley fiddleneck occurs on yellowish talus slopes and gravel accumulations at elevations of approximately 2740-3100 feet.

Limiting factors

Mining, grazing, range improvements, and agricultural development threaten Malheur Valley fiddleneck. Hybridization and competition with A. tessellata is a further risk factor.

Conservation actions

This plant is only found on federal property. Continue to manage existing populations.
