    Limiting factors

    Gray wolves are limited by availability of disturbance-free areas. They are found primarily in forested landscapes where adequate prey (e.g., deer and elk) persist.

    The conservation and management of gray wolves in Oregon is directed and governed by the Oregon Wolf Conservation and Management Plan (2005 and amended 2010, see below).
